With the help of lottery funding, local volunteers delivered a series of fantastic picnics across Bridgetown. Along with sharing food, residents organised entertainment and family activities. The project helped neighbours come together, make new friends and forge links for future events.
Not just ordinary picnics!
The days included:
- Live music from local jazz and steel drum bands
- Wood-fired home-made pizzas
- Children’s entertainment including our infamous “Doorstep Disco”
- Toys and clothes swap
- Art workshops and competitions
- Treasure hunts
